In the commercial sector, small OLED screens can be installed in POS, copiers, and ATMs. Due to the characteristics of OLED screens, such as bendability, brightness, and strong anti-aging properties, they are both beautiful and practical. The large screen can be used as a business promotion screen, as well as as an advertising screen at stations and airports. This is because OLED screens have wide viewing angles, high brightness, and bright colors, and their visual effects are much better than LCD screens.
In the field of electronics, OLED is the most widely used smartphone, followed by laptops, displays, TVs, tablets, digital cameras and other fields. Since OLED displays have more intense colors and can be adjusted (different display modes), it has been widely used in practical applications, especially in today's curved TVs, and has been widely praised. Some VR technology needs to be mentioned here, and although as an industry that emerged in 2016 but declined in 2017, it shows the trend of virtual technology. LCD screen viewing VR device smearing is very serious, but in OLED screen will relieve a lot because OLED screen is a light molecule, and liquid crystal is a flowing light liquid. Therefore, in 2016, OLED screens officially surpassed LCD screens and became the new favorite of the mobile phone industry.
In the field of transportation, OLED is mainly used in ships, aircraft meters, GPS, videophones, car displays, etc., and the size is small. These areas are mainly focused on the wide viewing angle performance of OLEDs, which can clearly see the screen content even if you don't look directly, but LCD cannot.
In the industrial field, China's today's industry is developing towards automation and intelligence, and more and more intelligent operating systems have been introduced, which has more demand for screens. Whether on touchscreen displays or viewing displays, OLEDs have a larger range of applications than LCDs.
In the medical field, medical diagnostic imaging and surgical screen monitoring are inseparable from screens. In order to meet the wide-angle requirements of medical displays, OLED screens are the "best choice". It can be seen that the development space of OLED displays is very large, and the market potential is huge. However, compared with LCD screens, OLED manufacturing technology is not mature enough. Due to the low mass production rate and high cost, only certain high-end devices on the market will use OLED screens. Internationally, it is difficult for manufacturers to mass-produce screens other than Samsung (now Samsung can also mass-produce curved) screens. However, from the data of the first half of 2017, various manufacturers have increased their investment in OLED technology research, and many mid-range electronic products in China have applied OLED displays. From the perspective of the mobile phone industry, the proportion of OLED screen applications has increased year by year since 2015. Although there are still not so many LCD products, high-end smartphones use OLED screens, so the development of smartphone electronics will surely further promote the development of OLEDs.
