OLED technology can be widely used because it has the following advantages over other technologies:
(1) Low power consumption
Compared with LCD, OLED does not require a backlight, which is the part where LCD consumes more energy, so OLED is more energy-efficient. For example, a 24-inch AMOLED module consumes only 440mw, while a 24-inch polysilicon LCD module consumes 605mw.
(2) Quick response
Compared with other technologies, OLED technology has a faster response speed, and the response time can reach the microsecond level. Higher response speed results in better moving images. According to relevant data analysis, its response speed has reached about 1000 times that of liquid crystal displays.
(3) Wide viewing angle
Compared to other displays, the picture does not appear distorted over a wide viewing angle range because OLED actively emits light. Vertical and horizontal viewing angles of more than 170 degrees.
(4) It can achieve high-resolution display
Most high-resolution OLED displays use active matrix or AMOLED. Its light-emitting layer can absorb 260.000 natural colors at high resolution. With the development of science and technology, in the future its resolution will be higher, promotional activities.
(5) Wide temperature characteristics a
Compared to LCDs, OLEDs can operate over a wide temperature range. According to the relevant technical analysis, the temperature can operate normally at -40 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius. In this way, geographical restrictions can be reduced and it can be used normally in extremely cold areas.
(6) OLED can realize soft screens
OLEDs can be produced on different flexible substrate materials, such as plastics and resins, and organic layers can be vapor-deposited or coated on plastic substrates to achieve soft screens.
(7) The quality of the finished OLED is lighter
Compared to other products, OLED has a relatively small mass, a smaller thickness than LCD, a higher seismic coefficient, and can adapt to relatively harsh environments, such as greater acceleration and vibration.
